Model and winemaker Constance Jablonski’s favourite things

March 4, 2022 by No Comments

nternational model Constance Jablonski is the picture of health, but you wouldn’t think it with her diary.

The Lille-born beauty has a terrifyingly busy schedule, zooming from one fashion show to another to walk for big name designers – Dior, Gucci, Burberry and Balmain, to name just a few – while also appearing on countless magazine covers and fronting campaigns for beauty behemoths like Guerlain. All that activity is bound to take its toll on regular folk, but Jablonski’s complexion is faultless.

Some of that is down to a carefully considered skincare regimen but a lot has to do with her decision to go teetotal, a lifestyle choice many are making as we collectively wake up to the ugly effects of excessive alcohol consumption.

In the modelling world, parties are par for the course, but Jablonski, along with her friend Maggie Frerejean-Taittinger (yes, that Taittinger), who was pregnant at the time, wanted to find a different way to celebrate and be sociable without the crushing hangover and skin damage. And so, alcohol-free brand French Bloom was born.

French Bloom

The organic sparkling drink is made with French grapes that allows you to raise a glass while safeguarding your wellness.

The model-entrepreneur took five minutes out from her busy schedule to answer our burning questions about beauty, booze and being your best self.

Tell us about French Bloom, what inspired you to set up the brand?

French Bloom

French Bloom was born from the desire to create a product that enables social togetherness without compromising one’s health. It’s a brand that I created with my friend Maggie when we both realised how few options existed on the market that met our expectations for alternatives to festive sparkling.

Maggie was pregnant with twins at the time, and I was busier than ever travelling the world and changing time zones constantly. We both understood how important our social lives were, but we didn’t want to necessarily drink alcohol on nights out and at professional engagements. The alternative? Sparkling water, quickly grew tiresome and it just didn’t have the celebratory bubbles we were looking for.

With that in mind, we set out to create a product that derived as much pleasure as its desire for wellness and after over two years of R&D, we created our fully organic and vegan certified ranges of alcohol-free French Bubbly; Le Blanc and Le Rosé. Both are sulphite free, low in calories and are without added sugars or preservatives.

Being teetotal is trendy. Why do you think so many people are ditching alcoholic drinks?

More than ever before, people want to take care of themselves. We strive to be the best version of ourselves, optimising each moment of everyday life and living life to the full. We started French Bloom to create an alternative to premium alcoholic sparkling wine – we are not against drinking, but we believe in the importance of offering a readily available alternative, enabling people to have a choice.

What does wellness mean to you?

I base my wellness on four main pillars; a fun social life, successful career, great nutrition and staying active by practising daily movements. Ensuring each day that I’m balancing each of these four pillars is essential for me to both feel and be at my best.

What’s the easiest way to start living healthily?

I think the easiest way is to ensure you have a clear routine. Healthier habits become easier to keep up with when they become automatic and you don’t have to think too much about them. For example, try starting each day with a glass of water when you wake up, or stretch for five minutes every day. Creating these small habits sets you up for success. It’s important to make sure the goals you are setting are achievable and are things you can build on day by day, week by week.

Talk us through your beauty routine

For me, my beauty routine is as much about what makes me look good as what makes me feel good. I start every day by drinking a glass of water and over the course of the day drink at least two litres.

Walking my dog is something I do each morning, it’s an important part of my routine that helps me zone out and I find having this time to myself out in the fresh air very meditative.

Daily stretching is also a must for me, I try to find time to do this for at least five to ten minutes every day. When it comes to my skin, I use a serum first and then a daily moisturiser for sensitive skin. I also take vitamin D and probiotics.

What are your travel essentials?

My travel essentials would be whatever book I’m reading at the time, my iPhone, AirPods (with an updated Spotify playlist, of course!) sneakers (so I can work out once landed), eye drops and my signature Guerlain perfume.

Where is the world is your happy place, and why?

My happy place is definitely wherever my family, friends and boyfriend are. I travel alone for various modelling jobs throughout the year, however, I’m happiest when at home surrounded by my loved ones. Whether in Paris, New York or my hometown of Lille, I make sure to spend quality time with those in my social circle and who I care about.

What one thing can magically pull together any outfit?

Nothing beats a men’s white shirt!

What are you looking forward to the most in 2022?

I’m looking forward to working alongside Maggie to continue growing French Bloom. I can’t wait to host more French Bloom events, helping us to connect with our community and bring people together. Ultimately, I’m excited to spend time with friends and family and hopefully live normally without the worry of the pandemic.
